I had fairly high expectations of this hotel given the other reviews and 4* rating on travelocity. It was very close to the motorway which was a bonus given that we were only staying one night en-route from Eastern Europe back to the UK.

Be warned, in the dark this hotel is not 'obvious' - head into the car park for the shopping centre and the entrance is on the left as you reach the first row of parking.

On arrival the customer service was mediocre, the receiptionist spoke no English besides 'Hello', and when asked politely in German if she understood English, instead of trying to respond she looked down at her computer and handed me a registration card....

The room was basic, no fridge or coffee making facilities... again suprised me at a 4* hotel !!

Also no air conditioning :( - luckily it the July weather was pretty dreary and so an open window kept the room reasonable...

I would recommend this hotel as a stopover on a roadtrip, but otherwise in the future I might be tempted to go up against the trams and head further into Leipzig....
