This is a very nice hotel, not big and feels cosy and friendly. Located just 2 tramway stops from Leipzig City centre it is also within easy walking distance (useful when public transport gets rare at night and you don't want to pay for the cab).
Breakfast buffet had a very good selection of dairies, cereals, different kinds of bread, hams and sausages, various types of cheese, eggs, pickles, even caviar, jams and pastries, teas. Not so many vegetables though... There were local newspapers available (I have not noticed international ones). There was a nice garden area, where I could have my breakfast al fresco.
My room was on the top floor, clean, with enough space to relax or work at the desk (with free wifi). The mini bar was re-filled every day with complimentary chocolate, water, juice and beer (I do not drink beer, so when the service people noticed I did not touch it, they put coca-cola instead).
It was incredibly hot in August, with exceptionally high 38-39 C outside, so I was missing air conditioning, or at least a fan (that the hotel unfortunately did not have as an option). Certainly I did not feel like using a sauna available free of charge! And having a kettle with a cup and some tea selection in the room would be great (one can buy tea at the reception, quite expensive, but when it closes for the night the only option would be nearby cafes and bars).
Overall I really like this hotel and it will be my first choice the next time, if I get the similar deal - I booked through their website directly and the breakfast was included in my price, although through other websites it was always quoted separately.
