Stayed in the hotel on a weekend this August and it was a stunning experience from the check in over to the room service, the concierge and finally the check out. Every employee did an outstanding job. Never did I not see a smile or havent gotten the customer service desired.
On Top, the rooms were beautifully designed - very classy. We lived on the fifth floor, in a huge room with a magnificent balcony. Everything was spacious, clean and comforting
A three course dinner was served on the Saturday night and it was nothing less than delicious.
We will be back - that is for sure!

Great hotel located just across the street from the historic heart of Leipzig. Unlike one of the prior reviewers we had no problem getting a cab from the train station to the hotel. Had it been a bit cooler we might have elected walk - perhaps five or six minutes - but with luggage it was worth six euros for the ride.

As mentioned the location is excellent as the historic heart of the city is only a minute or two away. The hotel itself is small, only about 90 rooms, and full of character. Our room was very large and very well appointed. We had a room along the front of the hotel facing west so I was a bit concerned, given my experience with AC units in Germany, that the room would be warn - that was not the case. The room was cool on a hot day without the unit being turned all the way up. The large bathroom had two sinks, unlike any of the Hyatts I stayed in, as well as a separate tub and shower.

After exploring the old city we returned to the hotel and took advantage of the wonderful pool before dinner. We put on our plush robes and slippers and walked down the hall past two small sitting areas to the elevator devoted to the pool and spa. I did not use the gym but did look in and can say that for a hotel of this size it had an abundance of equipment. The pool area is also home to wet and dry saunas and showers of varying water pressure from normal to that of a fire hose. The spa, which we did not use, is adjacent to the pool.

While we had a wonderful breakfast in the hotel we did not dine in but instead went to the old town for dinner. We did enjoy a drink in the bar, located in the type of room you wish you had in your chateaux. Service was excellent and all the staff seemed to speak English and French as well as German.

I liked Leipzig a lot in no small part because of this hotel which had the style and charm in abundance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. All staff at reception spoke English, and were invariably friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious, overlooking a quiet courtyard, and had an excellent bathroom. The bed was perhaps the most comfortable that we have ever slept in.
We considered the room rate to be quite reasonable for this quality of hotel ( a good rate was available on the internet as we booked a few months in advance ), but meals are very expensive. There is, however, no need to eat at the hotel. Leipzig had a good selection of cafes and restaurants for breakfast and dinner.
We would certainly stay here again on any future visit to Leipzig.

This is a great hotel. You feel like you are staying in a German hotel with tons of history. The location is great. It's 5 minutes from the train station. The hotel is grand. The room was huge and beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly and warm.
The only negative - Our room faced the street and was a bit noisy. Request an interior room.
I highly recommend this hotel.
