The hotel is right across the main railway station in Leipzig, just 400 meters away from East Entrance. The hotel was fully rebuilt inside an historical building of Leipzig, the outside is quite nice and the inside is simple, modern and cleaned. The room was fairly large and cleaned, the bed was fairly comfortable, and it had TV, the window could be fully opened, the only weird thing is that from the window there was a little balcony though there was access to it, maybe for safety reasons, which I understand. I did not have breakfast, and did not test the internet access, but prices range from 1 Euro for 90 minutes to 8 Euros for a week. The hotel is easily accessible from anywhere in Leipzig city centre. I do recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Leipzig and to everyone who need a bed next to the railway station, this hotel offers good value for money and is probably the cheapest one can get anywhere near city centre.

This hotel is a nice looking building right next to the main train station in Leipzig. It is conveniently close to major attractions in the downtown area. The reception staff comprises of young students who are certainly not professionals but do their best to accommodate you. The room we stayed was very small. However, the worst was the fact that the yellow building lights were lighting up the room during the entire night. The beds were extremely uncomfortable because of the thin mattresses and the squeaking frame. Traffic noise from the bed was an extra discomfort.

The hostel is right next to the city center and the main train station. Thus the location is great. The staff is very friendly and very very helpful. They answered all of our questions patiently. We stayed in a private room with twin beds and had bathroom inside our room. The room was very clean with lots of sun light. The hostel also sells train tickets to Berlin (innerconnex) which are cheaper than regular DB trains to Berlin. The first 24 hours of internet connection is free, then you have to pay. They also have a bar with a lot of different kinds of drinks but not really a fully fletched restaurant. One more great thing about this hostel is that you can leave your luggage there even after your stay is over if you are travelling to nearby places and will be back. They keep them in a locked room.

Stayed here in November 2010 for 3 nights, the hostel was great. After coming from Berlin from a fairly average hostel (not a A&O, I might add but will try one next time) this was a breath of fresh air. It's situated very near the main train station which is handy for transport and also contains a large shopping area complete with a supermarket and various food outlets. The room I booked was a twin room (same price as a single) and was spacious, warm, spotless, toilet with towels (not always a given at hostels) and it was very quiet at the back of the building. The front is on a busy road so if this is a priority then perhaps you should check ahead with the friendly staff but even the back room had secondary glazing. Also I had TV and paid the weekly rate 8 Euros for internet wireless access. All in all a wonderful hostel, Leipzig is an interesting city, only wish I had more time there................
