I've spent 1 night in this hotel in the middle of a trip, my needs were for a place where to rest well...and here it was great!
I've chosen it because of good last-second price (28€) for a single room within breakfast.
The room wasn't big, but efficient and with comfortable bed, breakfast rich and personal very kindly (although they didn't speak any language if not German).

The hotel is located several tram stops away from the centre of the Leipzig. If you want to save money on your travel, and have a reasonable accomodation, choose this hotel. You won't get wi-fi here, or many amenities, but it's clean, bathroom in you room, and free continental breakfast. Besides hotel is very quite, and you won't get disturbed by traffic in the night

Hotel Plagwitzer Hof is good value for money in terms of the standard of rooms and breakfast. The rooms are in fact quite large, though there are no frills. The major problem we found was the location - in the midst of a fairly rundown industrial area quite a way to the west of the city centre. There was a tram service, but at least whilst we were there it took about 10 - 15 minutes to walk to the nearest functioning stop ( some tram stops had for some reason recently been closed down).
