Hotel Kipping is a well located hotel if you do not need to be directly located in Old Town. It's across from the main train station, very quiet, and easy access by tram to all locations. The trams are cheap and easy to get around town. The hotel is in a beautiful old building, looking slightly worn around the edges. Rooms are large and clean, but dated. We had a desk space in our room which was nice and plenty of storage for our things. Breakfast offered many options and was very good. There is a grocery, bakery, and butcher shop directly across the street. It did feel a bit like a senior citizens home while we stayed.

Hotel is located near the main train station. To reach the main tourist center, it's a less than a mile, flat walk through a pedestrian mall. The mall has shops all along the way. The hotel bar doubles as the lobby reception. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff spoke enough English to get you checked-in, but don't expect more complicated requests. I didn't notice if there was air conditioning for hot days, but it was comfortably cool while I was there.

Lovely old building near centre of city. Everything clean and perfect. Comfortable, quiet. Good breakfast but an optin o a full english would have been welcome.

I ordered a single room at the last minute online and it was excellent: well-fitted out (marvelous shower) and very well maintained. It was small, too small really for a second person but just right for me. The breakfast was very good, great way to start the day, and the location behind the main railway station was superb - two minutes on foot, even with luggage. And for this quality residence, attractive prices. The staff were helpful to me (I arrived late and they were awake to let me in; and they helped me with my computer).
