I stayed for 6 days in the month of December in this hotel. I had visited dresden for a conference and stayed in this hotel. It is quite near the main business centre and alstadt. The rooms were modern and clean. The temperature inside the room was kept right. Only problem I faced was that the breakfast buffet was the same for the 6 days of my stay. The staff was really friendly and I would really recommend the hotel to anyone.

I was impressed with the spacious lobby and the reception. True to its name, the hotel has an artsy touch from the start to the rooms. I wouldn't mind staying the this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly. The check-in process was a breeze. It was easy to locate the lifts to the room. The room itself is different and nice. The shape of the Bath and closet was unique and interesting. The room is large and the beds are comfortable. Lot of abstract art on wall.

Had an early morning flight back home so could not check out the breakfast. Breakfast is not included.

The staff were calm, welcoming and efficient, and the hotel's design features made a refreshing change. The main sights are within walking distance but the room was quiet and spacious. Rooms facing the street would have trams going past and might be a little noisier than the backfacing room I had. My two quibbles are that the high standard of design and fittings did not include a comfortable chair (there was loads of space for one) and there was a dearth of English language TV stations. So probably not an issue if you are out and about most of the time, but it would get a bit frustrating if you were a non German-speaker who needed to kill time in your room.

I stayed at Art'otel for one weekend night in August 2010 and overall was very pleased. The hotel was clean, modern, and in an extremely convenient location to everything in the heart of the city. The staff was very friendly, if a bit slow in their service, and the rooms were pleasantly creative and memorable. I enjoyed the modern art around every corner of the hotel.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the hotel "gym." One of the main reasons I selected this hotel was because of the gym advertised on the website. In reality, this facility is an out-of-the-way dingy and dusty room that staff had to unlock for me to use. When I finally made it to the so-called gym, the cardio equipment was flimsy and old. I tried to use each piece of cardio equipment, and none of it worked. Not a single machine. I ended up abandoning the gym and just going for a lovely and scenic sunrise run along the river, which was spectacular and better than any gym. Thankfully the weather allowed for that.

All things considered, I was very pleased with my experience, but I would not recommend this hotel for a traveller looking for a modern - or functioning - fitness center.
