This hotel was recommended to us by a local family and they were right - we had a fabulous experience! The hotel is located in a central location within an easy walk to the downtown area and Christmas market. Our room - with an extra bed for a teenager - was huge. It was very comfortable, clean and modern, as was the bathroom. The price included a very nice breakfast buffet each morning with breads, cereals, meats and eggs. The wait staff was very polite and attentive and the front desk staff were cordial and helpful. The price was very reasonable and we just could not have asked for a better experience!

We have stayed at the 'Chemnitzer Hof' over christmas 2006 and in may 2007 and we are always happy with the Hotel, their staff and the standards of the rooms.
My partner works in the music business an we have stayed in many hotels (including 5*) but we are always comparing these hotels to the 'CH' and we are happy to say "hard to match"

In 2007 I booked an additional room for my best friends wedding as their 'honey moon suite' and the hotel staff prepared a wonderful romantic room and we too had a fantastic big room. Ok, it faced the church and we were woken up early but with a tasty breakfast in waiting ... who cares about the bells ;)

We will go back in August and we are looking forward to stay at the Chemnitzer Hof again.

While accompanying my husband on an extended business trip, our family stayed at the Chemnitzer Hof in Chemnitz, Germany. The staff of both the hotel and restaurant are top-notch and always treated us fabulously. The housekeeping staff also made sure our stay was a comfortable one. The restaurant's breakfast buffet is amazing. The selections of breads, meats, cheeses and fruits are amazing. Also, the chef took special requests. If you stay, be sure to order the pancakes which are more like crepes. They are delicious. The only drawbacks I found at the hotel were that a.) the interior decor is looking a bit worn and dated and, b.) our room was next to a beautiful old church with bells that rang throughout the night. Be sure to request a room near the front of the hotel. Overall, the stay was a very enjoyable one.
