Stopped at this small family run hotel whilst travelling by motorcycle through Germany with my lovely wife (she made me put that!). Chose the hotel prior to the trip mainly because of location/price. Warm welcome when we arrived one day early and asked to stay for two nights. My Harley was safely stored in a secure garage and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet residential area on the north side of the Mosel river, adjacent to the main road bridge from which the town centre was only ten minutes walk. There is a small supermarket five minutes away, together with a multitude of restaurants and bars. Trier is a young and lively university town, packed with enough history and shopping to suit all tastes. Breakfast was good (continental) and plentiful. The rooms are quite spacious and we were lucky enough to get a balcony, although not all rooms have one. Not luxury accomodation by any stretch of the imagination but certainly clean, honest value for money and we would highly recommend it.
