Stayed here for two nights in a large family room.
The hotel was easy to find in the car and had free parking.
The check in and staff were efficient and friendly.
The room was big (family room) and over looked the river / bridge. The room and hotel was clean, but a little dated. The restaurant seating, carpet and furniture looked like something out of the late 80's early 90's (peachy pastel colours) but was in good condition. I can't decide if it was reasonably new and they had got them cheap because of the style or if they were 'original' in very good condition.
The restaurant was very good, and for a relatively small hotel had a reasonable choice. The only down-side was we arrived quite late and the restuarant stopped taking orders at 9.00pm (and this was a saturday!), so was a bit rushed. It's also closed on Sunday.
Breakfast was good with a wide choice.
If you stay here try and get a room facing the river (I would guess around 40% do).
Particularly recommended if you have a car as its easy to find whilst being only a relatively short walk into the town accross the bridge (approx 15 minutes). If I was arriving on the train I would probably look to stay in the centre of town, but with a car this is ideal.
Overall recommended . Average value for money.
