The location was convenient, the staff was friendly, rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. Nothing luxurious but we weren't paying for luxury.

We stayed at this hotel in February 2007. For train travelers with heavy luggage, this hotel is as close as you can get to the train station. We were extremely happy with the hotel's value however it has been at least 20 years since the furnitutre and fixtures were upgraded. That said, we still felt the hotel offered more than enough value for the price/location and the owners run a clean ship.

The proprietors were more than generous, probably because the hotel was nearly empty during the off-season. I would guess they are far more harried during the summer with budget travelers coming and going.

I would definitely recommend this hotel during the off-season.

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend in August 2004.

The hotel is conveniently located on the square near the Hauptbahnhof (Central Railway station).

Our room and bathroom were very clean, spacious and even pleasant looking. Even though the furnuture and the bathroom fittings were not very modern, the overall impression was very pleasant; the room had some kind of home atmosphere in it.

Personnel was very polite, nice and helpful.

The breakfast was very good (for a 2 star hotel), with muesli, various rolls, buns, cheeses and cold sausages. On the funny side, the dishes were very small, probably the intention is to make sure that guests don't eat everything on the offer. But for such an impudent as myself, this just meant more trips to the table where the buffet was served. :)

The excellent position and great price/quality ratio (we payed about 60 euro for a double room with breakfast) makes this hotel a good accomodation option in a beautiful city of Trier. Will stay again.
