I stayed in this hotel few times this year and (almost) always came back. This is not a luxurious hotel, rather quite basic but all the basics working well. Great value for money if you are not looking for luxury.
Location: very centrally located few minutes walking distance from everything - the old town, new town, Rhein and the main train station.
Ambience: the hotel is small enough with friendly service so it feels like home
Room: I stayed in different rooms. Some (like 308, 508) are very large, actually these are suites consisting of two rooms. Rooms are relatively basic but again, everything functioning. Some rooms may be quite noisy as they face the main street, although we had this issue only once when some drunken guys were singing serenades at 3am.
Service: overall quite good although not without exceptions. One restaurant staff was quite rude when the breakfast time ended and we were still sitting there.
Reception: friendly and flexible. Most times when I asked for late check out, they gave it without any problem.
Concierge: none.
Cleanness: reasonable. No complaints, but some of the rooms are a bit oldish.
Breakfast: typical German breakfast with more meat and sausages than you would find in other places, eggs of different types, bakery products etc. good choice considering it is only 3 stars. Quality of food is reasonable, certainly not bad but also not upscale.
Restaurant: there are two restaurants both on ground floor. One serves also as a bar, open till late hours. Healthy choice, solid quality.
Parking: if you need one, it can be an issue. There is a small parking around the corner and I was almost always lucky to get a place. A couple of times I did not find place and it was very difficult to find parking.
Children activities: none, but we did not feel disadvantages because of having the kids with us.
