I booked this hotel through Expedia and made the mistake of not verifying the rate upon check-in. The desk staff said that since we were tired from our trip that we would take care of payment and everything in the morning. When I went to check out the next morning they insisted I pay a rate that was nearly double what I'd agreed to when booking with Expedia. The hotel claimed that was their "single" rate and not for two people in a room. I was very angry, showed my papers printed from Expedia, but they refused to honor the price on Expedia.

Plus, the hotel is not that great in the first place. Small rooms that are barely adequate, overpriced, bathrooms that require you to stick your legs out the door to sit on the toilet, etc.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location - across the street from the train station - so that I could leave the place as quickly as possible.

I actually complained to Expedia about this hotel when I returned (all the other places I stayed in Germany were great!) but Expedia said that all of the information comes from the hotels and that they can't be responsible for hotels not providing correct prices nor changing their prices.
