This moderately sized hotel is well located near the main station in Koblenz. Despite it being next to major roads and rail lines the room was very quiet. The breakfast was very good, though not included in the basic rate. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite that was very spacious and tastefully and comfortably furnished. While not right in the centre of town, it was an easy walk there from the hotel. Free wifi worked very well.

After a long night driving around Köln & Bonn looking for a place to stay (everything was full because of an expo in Köln which we didn't know about),we drove on to Koblenz, & at the last moment,we stopped at hotel Kraemer & there was still a room!that was a relief!the moment we entered the hotel,we were welcomed& checked-in by a kind,gentle lady(the owner herself) at the reception who informed us right away about the parking possibilities around the hotel since the hotel's private parking area was full.we found right away just beside the hotel which we paid only euro1 till 10a.m. the next morning.
then we entered the room,more surprises:the room is pretty with it's boutique-design quality,big(for a european room) high ceiling.big shower-toilet w/sliding glass doors separating it from the bedroom.the room has a little sitting niche w/2 high velour chairs.the beds & pillows were just wonderfully comfortable & clean.
more surprise when we had breakfast,it was small but pretty charming room with a complete variety of choices,served by pleasant & polite staff.
our room was in the first floor which was a little noisy from the street below,& it was beside the breakfast room, which didn't matter much since it was the last one available & we only stayed a night.
pricewise,it was also good, Euro125 which is not expensive for all the comfort.

Like: Very good breakfast. Good choice and nice place to eat. Very friendly staff! The wifi is not for free, but not very expensive (about 3€/day), only a few minutes to downtown by foot, parking space behind the hotel (not for free!)
Dislike: I couldn't sleep any night... the first impression of the room was good (clean, nice), but there are the smalles beds i ever seen in a hotel. (about 1m x 2m). I have booked a 1 person room (a quiet one). So i got one at the highes level with two small beds. Better would be one queen or king bed. But this was not the biggest problem...
Every night it was very warm in the room, there is no air condition, so i opened to windows... a big mistake... straight in front of the hotel there is a big street, a highway, railway with big traffic all night long and a church where the bells are ringing very early.

Very good: Rooms are generous size, immaculately clean, modern, and comfortable, as is the bathroom.

Location is about a 10-15 minute walk through the main shopping area of the city to the center of Koblenz, further to the Deutsches Eck. Also, a short walk to the train station.

Breakfast was very nice with plenty of variety, hot and cold.

As long as it isn't summer, this is a very nice hotel in a convenient location with secure parking.

Not So Good: No A/C. If it's hot, this could be a problem as there is noise on the street with the windows open. However, even though the day was hot, the night was quite comfortable even without A/C.

Wireless internet is available for a modest 3 euro (but still not gratis as in many hotels). However, I could never maintain an internet connection in Room 333. I would pick up the connection in another part of the building, it would hold for a while after I returned to the room, but then would be lost and I could not reconnect with moving elsewhere in the building. In fairness, management promised to work on resolving the problem for future guests and did not charge me for the Internet.

The desk has a bench rather than a chair. After a while, no back to lean against made my back sore. A desk chair would be better.

Not sure this is a good value, as we paid 95 euro including breakfast. The Ibis two blocks away was 69 euro (but sold out for that night) without breakfast. Even so, that's a substantial difference. Of course, the Ibis rooms are quite small.
