I stayed here for one night to attend a concert. Room was large by European standards, bed was comfortable. Large shopping area with lots of food choices within walking distance. No free internet, even in the lobby. I did not purchase breakfast as it was an additional $20E but there is a McDonalds very close by. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

To have some extra time to do some shopping at CentrO we stayed one night at the Tryp. The rooms (2x 2-pers.) were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpfull. We arrived at 11 o'clock and it was ok to check in instead we had to wait till 3 pm! The beds were good, bathroom big enough, plenty space in the room to store all your luggage. Breakfast was perfect - enough choice to make everybody happy. If you fill out the form you recveice on arrival you get a discount (50%) for your breakfast. So don't make a reservation in advance with breakfast! The location was perfect for us and there is a lot to do in the area. Because we knew there wasn't a tea/coffee facility in our room, we brought our on watercooker. In some other rooms (higher price) they do have these facillities. The little bit noise you hear is from the outside traffic (nearby highway 42): so bring your earpluggs and you will have a good night sleep. We enjoyed our stay and on our next visit to Oberhausen we will stay here again!

Stayed here for two nights to see the performance in konig arena next door. OK hotel for a price, but got charged for the breakfast that I didn't have/never asked for.
The cleaning (young one with black hair) was very helpful when I asked her for the iron. Also Spanish guy in the bar was very nice.

We have stayed here for one night to do some christmas shopping in CentrO.

The hotel is perfectly situated for the great Oberhausen neue mitte.

Don't expect a quite room though, the hotel is a bit noisy. A shame for a good hotel with great staff!
