We were recommended this hotel as a romantic hotel for a 2 night break. It is an interesting setting - the hotel is surrounded by a moat. However, it would not win any awards for being disabled friendly. There are some steep steps up to the front door and the reception desk is situated on the first landing. The room was quaint and charming, clean, roomy and quiet. Unfortunately, there was no coffee/tea making facilities - something that a hotel of this nature should have as routine.
We had the restaurant to ourselves on the first night. The young waiter was keen to test out his english language skills which was just as well as neither of us spoke german. He was very polite and friendly.
Breakfast is held in the cellars of the main buidling. It is a fairly standard continental buffet with a good selection for most palates.
Overall, it comes over as "OK". I wouldn't rave about it but neither does it warrant a poor review
