The hotel is nice enough and in a great location for visiting the city centre, but there were a couple of negatives. A member of our party called in advance to reserve a space in the hotel garage and had this confirmed. There was no space when we arrived so we had to park in the public car park down the street. There were no double beds available so we had to push the twin beds together - not a disaster but not ideal. Service was willing but slow, but they did have an interesting selection of beers in the bar. In their defense the hotel was full, but as it was the Xmas market and they had been fully booked for weeks, this cannot have been a surprise.
The worst part was the maintenance level - the shower head was loose and fell on my head mid shower. Thankfully this was no real problem but could have been for someone of a more delicate or infirm condition.
Finally - why do some hotels persist in charging for access to the WiFi network when you can walk to a local cafe and get free access, faster service and better coffee? All this does is irritate the guests for minimal commercial advantage.
