This is a small family-run hotel with a rather special restaurant. The rooms are quite basic, but with good-quality bathrooms and fixtures. They are spotlessly clean. The husband and wife team are charming. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday and I've never tasted better food. It is wonderful, far better than many other famous venues and a surprising location for such a very special place.

I found this place by chance some time ago (Asked my GPS to find me some lodging). I stayed again recently and it remains the same homely, good value guest house. During this week I stayed in several different hotels, often costing twice as much, but the stay at the Lindenhof was superior in every way.

As others say, it's not a chain and you won't be anonymous - perfect in other words!

Just once complaint - sleeping in a double bed with a single sized quilt (on my own) - would have prefered a full double duvet for a double bed......certainly not a problem, just a preference.

This is a local hotel used by visitors on business trips.

Those who stay there rate the rooms highly - though it’s not a chain and doesn't offer the anonymity that the Holiday Inn does.

Where it scores is in the quality and presentation of the food – it is second to none quite frankly.

What more can you say except that the exchange rate for the poor old £ is getting a little ofputting!!
