This is a great location to enjoy football. It is a short, skip and a hop to the stadium. Fans are in the hotel lobby, dressed in their team colours prior to the game. After the game, it is a great meeting place to celebrate (or down sorrows).

I was impressed with the quality of the hotel. Courtyards in the United States tend to be very non-frills, with little amenities. This one had a spacious bar and restaurant area.

The rooms are good size, bigger than average European norms. Very clean. It is a bit of a ride so most likely will need a car although a rail line is close by.

Perfect for enjoying Schalke 04 football.

I have to credit a hotel that puts in power points next to each bed, to plug in your phone at night. The alternative is pulling out a side table and unplugging a lamp...or even worse, having to leave your phone on the other side of the room!
Comments about location are correct - this hotel is for sleep and work only, not for walking around town. Unless of course, local football heroes Schalke04 are playing - but that's all academic, if there's a Schalke game on, you won't be able to get a room in this place!
In-house restaurant is a bit bland.

Was here for business and visiting a company based very close to this hotel, so for me the unusual location of this hotel - as some have pointed out - didn't bother me at all. Rooms are modern and clean, and the service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant didn't look like it would be up to much, but every meal I had over the two days of my stay was excellent. Breakfast is also of a very high standard. On the downside, no room service and TV options are limited if you're an English speaker. Hotel and restaurant staff were nice.

This hotel provides value for money. But don't go there if you want to be close to the centre. Its location is somewhat outbound. This hotel is okay for visiting Schalke 04 and Movie Park Germany.
