We have been in Europe for three weeks sourcing hotels for our car tours business and this hotel with the possible exception of the Hotel de Paris in Monaco was one of the best we stayed in. The overall finish of the hotel was excellent and the service was first class. We arrived on a Sunday during a public holiday and there was only a skeleton staff on duty. We explained the nature of our trip and that we had not eaten. The girl on the desk apologised and said that the room service chef did not arrive until 6pm so we agreed to have a drink and then go out for a snack at about 4:30 the room service chef appeared to take our order and explained that the receptionist had asked her to come in early to look after us. The breakfast was also excellent and the choice was exceptional. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone and we will certainly be taking our clients there on a regular basis.

Hotel is OK but the rooms are small and there is no air-conditioning which makes it very uncomfortable in summer especially at the front of the hotel where there is traffic noise so you have to close the window. However bed was comfortable and shower very powerful. Breakfast quite good with a reasonable selection. Not sure I would stay again although it was adequate for one night. Parking overnight was a bit steep at Euro 9.50 especially as the parking garage was quite empty.

Staff were very friendly but overworked. Rooms were very small and sparse. Too far from city centre to justify cramped conditions.

As for a small hotel i really liked it

location is great and near the fair of essen and even dusseldorf
friendly staff and nice cozy bar
room service was great and clean rooms
i realy liked this hotel and would consider it later
