I needed somewhere to stay in Dusseldorf after an evening flight in and before an early onward train the following morning, and the CVJM Hotel, being very close to the main railway station, fitted the bill perfectly and at a reasonable price.
Don't be put off by either the YMCA label or the vaguely sleazy immediate surroundings: the hotel's rooms are almost clinically clean, if a little small and spartan. Good bathrooms. As other reviewers have pointed out, the included breakfast is good, and a free public transport pass is thrown in as part of the deal. You probably wouldn't want to spend a week here, but for an overnight stay this hotel is perfect.

Clean, but a very basic 'one-person-bedroom'. Bathroom was a big plus. Service is less than basic: don't ask 'm too much about what's going on in Dusseldorf... Breakfast was ok. 100 m from the trainstation, 10 m from a bus to the small altstadt.

Very clean, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, good quality furniture, great location and excellent price. A little sparce and small but an excellent Hotel for travellers who travel to a City and want a basic Hotel. 3 Stars plus in my estimation. Would go back again.

Fresh and a big choice: 4 different cereals, different rolls, bread, butter, marmelade, eggs, ham, sausage, salami and cheese, cream cheese, tomato, yoghurt, apples, tea, coffee, milk, orange juice.
