“Really nice hotel, very central location... will come back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

A long weekendtrip with my best friend in good old Duesseldorf!
Perfect place to stay - nicely furnished, comfortable beds, good breakfast - and very nice service at the reception and for breakfast. The ladies are great there!
And it is really close to the main station and close to any important shopping area (Kö, of course - and I can recommend the area close to Carlsplatz for shopping). Last but not least all the Japanese shops and restaurants around the Immermanstrasse -Yabase has still the best sushi outside of Japan....
We enjoyed our time and the service there and will come back - hopefully soon.
Thank you, Hotel Lindenhof!

“Don't judge a room by it's reception!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

As a family of 5 we stayed 2 nights, in 2 rooms. We hadn't booked anywhere & walked in, the reception area was very nice & promising, the rooms were disappointing but given the price & time of day we decided to stay. Our children's triple was just o.k on every level, as was our twin. It felt 'cleanish' (I am fussy). During the night I was frequently awoken with the smell of cigarette smoke in the room, I can only think that it came from the night staff underneath our room, later on it was replaced by burning toast smells (I have a sensitive sense of smell, this didn't wake my husband). The hotel was fairly well placed to walk into Dussledorf & explore this amazing city, & superbly placed for the metro to travel to the 'Esprit' arena to see 'TakeThat' this all runs like clockwork; most impressive. We were advised on arrival that we may need to change room for our second night, which after the smells wasn't a problem, the room we moved to was cheaper & had a sink & shower, the private toilet was across the corridor. It all felt 'studenty' but the purpose of our visit was the concert & to explore the city so we put up with it. The breakfast was struggling to be average & slightly congested with people traffic. The cherry on top was delivered on checking out when it turned out the price per room given on arrival was incorrect & they wanted to charge nearly a third more! After much deliberation & the hotels failure to contact our check-in receptionist & our insistence that the police should be called, the police agreed we should pay the price quoted on arrival. So my advice would be; look at the room first & get the price in writing!

“Great hotel and fantastic staff for our stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

We had our two dogs with us, and the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful during our weeklong stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We really enjoyed the breakfasts, and the room was quite comfortable.

“Great Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2011

The Lindenhof hotel is well placed about a five minute walk from Dusseldorf Hbf or main train station ( about 10 minutes with bags). The room I stayed in was clean, well maintained and quiet. It is good that it is located a little distance away from the Hbf as the areas adjacent to most Hbfs are usually a little run down.

My booking included breakfast and free Wifi. The breakfast was excellent.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. All up I would recommend the hotel as great value for money.

“OK for a few nights”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

We chose this hotel mainly due to its location and in fact it is perfect. 5 mins to the central train station and 10 mins max to the Konnigsallee. The breakfast was OK but I would say not enough, especially if you come for breakfast at 9:00am. They simply didn't have extra hands to clean up and add cuts. The room itself was fine, the only thing missing was a mini fridge in the room (we need it to keep fresh milk in) but there is one in the kitchen. The staff were all helpful as I used to ask them every night to warm up milk for the child. In the evening we usually had our meal just opposite the hotel at the "Schumacher Alt" restaraunt that would definitely recommend to all.
