First this is definitely a business hotel not a family hotel. If you are staying here for a conference it will most likely suit you just fine.
They said they had a kids play area. This consisted of one small table with some puzzles, blocks and one Nintendo game. Right in the lobby. They said guest laundry available which means they will send your laundry out and charge you an average of 2-5 euro or 4-10 USD per piece. They don't even wash their own sheets on site. No restaurants nearby except a subway and a bakery. To get a decent meal other than the expensive hotel food you had to get on the train or take a cab closer to city central. We had no table in our room and only one chair and a pull out sofa which we were sleeping on that was difficult to close up and use for seating. When we brought back food from outside they told us we couldn't eat in the bar area. Instead we could sit in the lobby or go to our room. They said their employee's spoke english, but most of them were very reluctant to do so and a few (at the front desk) appeared to speak none at all. I was bitten twice by what I can only guess was a big spider because it left a huge hot welt on my back and leg while sleeping in the bed. You can hardly hear when someone knocks on the door, consequently room service tends to seem like they are just walking in because you don't hear them knock. The shuttle to and from the airport is very limited (about 3 going each way each day) The pay as you go internet is pretty pricey as well. They have free internet in the lobby, but quite often there are lots of people waiting to use it. You better be quick or you will get repeatedly asked if you're finished yet.
On the good side the food they did serve was excellent. The beds were comfortable. The shower and bath were clean. The staff who were willing to cope with our limited German language skills were nice. It's very close to 3 train stops making travel around the city easy. The workout room was good.
So if you're just looking for a place to sleep and eat between meetings or something this is a good find, just not for a family with young kids.
