Stayed for 4 nights during Boot boat show. This hotel is about a 5 minute taxi ride to/from airport. There's a shuttle that runs to/from hotel/airport - but operates only Mon-Fri. There are two parts to this hotel renovated and not renovated. We were given a room in the wing with roooms that had not been renovated. This wing was non-smoking, but obviously had been a smoking wing over the years as you could still smell that distinct smoke-cover-up-smell. The carpet in our room was clean yet disgusting with old stains. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The bathroom was clean with hand soap, body soap and hair dryer (ladies, bring a shower cap if you use one as the washrooms are not stocked with any extras). We poked into one of the renovated rooms while walking down the hallway one morning - definately a huge improvement (as in felt like a different hotel).
Breakfast buffet is included with room and had a selection of hot and cold foods, juice, cereal and coffee. Service in the breakfast area was very pleasant. Buffet starts a 4:30 in the morning - so great for travellers that need to leave early.

Transit via train to Altstadt takes about 15 minutes
There is a grocery store right next to hotel; great place to grab snacks and beverages
There are 2 pizza joints and a bar within walking distance
The hotel is situated in a resedential area; so it's very quiet
No real noticeable noise from airport
