Get a good price for a single room for the weekend. Free wifi is a big positive.( Usually pay quite a sum in similar places ) rooms a old , small and comfortable enough. Bathrooms are very small but perfectly clean. Its only a few minutes walk from main atractions. Staff were helpfull. It was a value stay with enough comfort and services. Do not expect much.

Here on business in and around Dusseldorf and Cologne so a central location was vital.

Found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and the staff very helpful.

Free WiFi is a bonus as I normally find that this always an extra cost item.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and the Konigsalle is a short walk away for those shopping trips.

All in all I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time I visit Dusseldorf

My mother and I have decided to stay in Dusseldorf for a weekend, to have some shopping for her and some sightseeing for me. So we have chosen BW Savoyen because of the location. I did not expect a lot because have looked through the reviews. But when we arrived (it was very late), the staff was already waiting with a quick check-in. Also they said that they have overbook on standart rooms, so they offerd business free of charge.

The room was massive with a window almost as big as the wall! The window was faceing a road and a hotel 3*, which was not as good as ours... The only bad thing in the room - the small bathroom, and the door was opeing uncomfortably as there were anyone next to the sink there was a possiblity to hit them.

The breakfast was good, but if you come late to the breakfast it is almost ampossible to get coffee, one time we were early and got coffee straight away, next time we were waiting to be surfed for a very long time.

The location is good, as it is not as noisy as in the center, but it takes just less then 5 min to get to Aldstad. so it is not hard and not long to walk. Also it take about 2 min to get to train station, so that is good as well.

I stayed at this hotel the 21st December.

The hotel has a convienient position close to the station and walking distant from the old town.
The external appereance is good and the service is professional and gentle.

I took a room in the back because silence is a priority and actually the room was really quite. Quiet clean and warm.

Breakfast is various but not so particular at all.

A good point is free wireless internet connection

Not many complains about this hotel apart the bathroom that was reaaaly tiny: It was possible to sit on WC and brush your teeth at the same time since the sink really closed to WC.

This is not a bad solution if you are not interested in the hotel: you will not remember it so boring it is.

Maybe I will try to find something different next time.
