“Everything OK, but location not for tourists”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2011

We stayed here for a couple of nights in the begining of the big european trip by car. The hotel is located in the business district, really far away from the city (20 minutes by metro/tram, which doesn't operates on Sundays and operates on Sat very rearly). So there are no places to eat or spend time in the evening. Rooms was pretty good, spacious. Our twin room has 2 more king-sized bed and bathroom eith bath. Lobby, public areas and holles looked uoutdated and smeeled strange. The staff was friendly. Also in the lobby there was a small and pretty nice shop with fresh and tasty sandwiches, salads, etc.

“The best of the big chains in Dusseldorf - for a fair price”

Had the pleasure of staying here on multiple occasions over the past two months.

This place makes all the other places look pale. Super friendly staff, roomy rooms, awesome breakfast, good selection of F&B in the restaurant (and if you stick to the daily dishes – your bill will hardly reach €20 a person for 2 courses, coffee and beer).

Location is pretty good for both airport and city (both are 5 minutes by car – a little longer by public transport) – although the area around the hotel is nothing to write home about, as soon as you step in the doors, you forget about the boring business park outside…

I can highly recommend this place – also over the Sheraton hotels and Mariott’s own Renaissance.

“Nice not only for business”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

I am staying regularly here on business trips and always appreciate the nice breakfast and the tasty dishes in the reasonably priced restaurant. This time was first time for leisure - with friends for the Japan Tag (recommended BTW!) . We had also time to test the newly refurbished fitness room ( very nice but few devices) and the sauna (great!). The location even for visiting tourist sites is not bad - couple of minutes walk to the train stop , then 12 minutes to the old town. All in all - great place and excellent value for money.

“Really nice, but a bit away from city centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 June 2010

I stayed here for a weekend in September 2009 with my boyfriend.
There is nothing to complain about the hotel as such, the room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful, unfortunately, the swimming pool could not be used when we stayed here.
Unfortunately, the hotel is not in walking distance to the city center, but can be easily reached with the S-Bahn.

“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2010

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I stayed 4 nights and it didn't help me to get a precise idea. Location is OK, a few stops away by tramway from the city center. However, be careful, the closer U stop is only deserved Mon-Sat until 7 or 8PM. So be prepared to do some reasonable walking (5 to 10 minutes).
Rooms are OK, but the sheets on my first night were stained. There were a few hairs in the bathroom too.
Breakfast is really good. Problem is that the breakfast room is very small compared to the number of guests. If you need a quiet place to enjoy your breakfast, this is definitely not the right hotel. It was included with my reservation, otherwise breakfast is 10 or 15 euros depending if you choose continental breakfast or not.
For standard rooms, wireless internet is available for an outrageous fee (come on guys, check your calendar, it says 2010! Internet is not a luxury but the most basic service!). My piece of advice: right around the corner, there is a Subway shop with free internet.
Finally, staff was nice and I got the room for a very competitive price on onhotels.
