Building work right next to the hotel - very loud drilling and banging from 8 in the morning throughout the day. Really not worth the 250 euro paid.

Rooms = basic but clean.
Staff = friendly.
Location = v.good.

We stayed here for one night in December while we were attending Race of Champions in Dusseldorf Esprit Arena. Location is good, short walk to station, main shopping areas, river etc. Staff are helpful and happy to give directions / suggestions for places to go / book taxi's / look after luggage. We got a cheap room only rate so can't give any opinion on breakfast. Rooms were pretty basic and clean apart from finding a used tissue under the bed - not good! From a safety aspect it was diappointing that the doors did not have a safety chain on. Walls are also pretty thin so could hear other guests using bathroom, walking upstairs to their rooms etc. Our room was overlooking the street and there was no traffic / passing noise that caused any problems. All in all not a bad hotel considering how cheap it is.

Hotel is in great location - close to train and easy walk to shops and old town. We arrived in the evening and were pleasantly surprised by the proximity to the Japanese shops and restaurants - great if you want to eat close by to the hotel. Room was clean – if we head back to Dusseldorf I would quite happily stay here again.

We stayed here in December 2010 while visiting the Christmas Markets. This was my third visit to Düesseldorf. I chose this hotel as it was near the city centre and within easy waking distance of the shops, bars, restaurants and of course the various Christmas markets.

I also wanted to be within walking distance of the train station as I wanted to do a day trip to Cologne.

The hotel is fairly small but extremely welcoming. The staff throughout are helpful and friendly. They will gladly help you with directions, restaurant recommendations and arranging taxis to the airport on departure.

The rooms are relatively small but not tiny. Compact is probably the best way to describe them. They are decorated in a modern style. They are spotlessly clean and have tea/coffee making facilities. I couldn’t find any fault with them.

The hotel has a small bar which is nice for a drink in the evenings or before you head to bed. It is reasonably priced.

We had breakfast included in our room rate. The breakfast room is spacious and bright. There is a good choice available for breakfast, bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, meats, salads, juices, tea, coffee. Hot choices included scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages etc…

There is a vending machine in the reception which has water, soft drinks, juices, beer, crisps, chocolate, nuts and sweets. Which is handy if you want a drink or a snack for your room.

I would definitely stay in this hotel again, the location is excellent and it is very good value for money.
