We had a room on the 4th floor on the courtyard, facing towards some office blocks. It was a very quiet room with no noise at all coming from outside. Quality of sleep was very good. Although other people have commented on how expensive the hotel is during trade fares, we got it at 77 Euros including breakfast, which I think is good value. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. There is a sauna and a steam room in the basement which are free for guests to use.
There is a metro station just outside the hotel from which trains operates every 20 minutes during the day (am Seestern). In the evening and at night you need to walk 200 metres to Prinzenallee to get a train (they run pretty much all night). It takes less than 15 minutes to get to the Old Town (Heinrich Heine Allee). Closer to the hotel, there are bars and restaurants at Belsen Platz (3-4 stops down). Travel tickets are available from reception.
The hotel does not have free wifi, but there is a free hotspot at Subway, about 10 metres away which unfortunately, this does not work in the hotel. If you can find a space, parking on the street is free - otherwise it will cost you 15 euros per night.
My only real complaint about the hotel is the gang of people (including some of the staff) smoking right outside the front door. It would be better if they set up a smoking shelter and ash trays a bit further away.
