“Expensive but not special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

I stayed there during a business trip to Dusseldorf. Not my choice but the Client's as it is walking distance to my client's premises. It is a fair distance from the city centre, however accessible if you wish to use the efficient transport network (German you see).

The room rates were extremely dear and there was nothing special about the rooms; the breakfast was average but the restaurant food was not bad.

If I had the choice I wouldn't return, although it is conveniently located in the north business quarter of the city.

“This is very good hotel for self cooking and business”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

I stayed in the hotel for my business purpose and it is situated very near to city and near to all the Public tranport connection. This is very good neat and clean hotel and I really like the service. I stayed here in May'2011. Even My family stayed here for two weeks and they enjoyed this hotel.

“MARCURE HOTEL DUESSELDORF- THE WORST”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2011

Marcure Hotel has the worst service. They are definitely RIP OFF. They charge redicolus rates and DO NOT refoud any money if your plans change, even in worst situations such as medical reasons. The reception desk staff don't know anything, cannot assist. I had to cancel my trip to Germny and nothing, not even one cent was refunded to me even though I advised of changes two weeks in advance. Deffinetly not happy and wouldn't recommend them! They still believe I stayed at the hotel as they thanked me with an email. Pathetic!

“Quiet, convenient for metro and good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2011

We had a room on the 4th floor on the courtyard, facing towards some office blocks. It was a very quiet room with no noise at all coming from outside. Quality of sleep was very good. Although other people have commented on how expensive the hotel is during trade fares, we got it at 77 Euros including breakfast, which I think is good value. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. There is a sauna and a steam room in the basement which are free for guests to use.

There is a metro station just outside the hotel from which trains operates every 20 minutes during the day (am Seestern). In the evening and at night you need to walk 200 metres to Prinzenallee to get a train (they run pretty much all night). It takes less than 15 minutes to get to the Old Town (Heinrich Heine Allee). Closer to the hotel, there are bars and restaurants at Belsen Platz (3-4 stops down). Travel tickets are available from reception.

The hotel does not have free wifi, but there is a free hotspot at Subway, about 10 metres away which unfortunately, this does not work in the hotel. If you can find a space, parking on the street is free - otherwise it will cost you 15 euros per night.

My only real complaint about the hotel is the gang of people (including some of the staff) smoking right outside the front door. It would be better if they set up a smoking shelter and ash trays a bit further away.

“Exhibition time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2010

Great location for the Messe, but rediculously expensive as all the hotels are when there is an exhibition on. Room and breakfast choice good and staff very helpful.
Avoid taking the shuttle bus to a show, costs 6 Euro one way and takes forever as it collects at numerous hotels. Better to take a taxi, especially if there are two or more people. Cost 15 Euro, but they can drive into the Messe complex and drop you outside the hall you want, as long as you already have a ticket.
