“Comfortable, friendly staff and great neighborhood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Stayed here for several days in November 2011 for MEDICA conference. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier and accommodating. We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast and the food was yummy. One is given a large selection of cold cuts, cheeses, breads, pastries, cereals, eggs and bacon/sausages. The bar area is welcoming. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. Thought the lobby and restaurant/bar is decorated very nicely, the actually sleeping room decor is a bit dated (reminded me of 80's beach furniture), but nothing that would deter me from staying there again for business or leisure travel. The hotel is located more in a neighborhood which was welcoming. My co-workers and I were able to easily explore the neighborhood as a local, we blended in until we spoke. 99% people speak English. There are several fantastic restaurants nearby (walking distance) as well as some great shops. We were greeted warmly at all the restaurants and shops we visited. WI-FI is available in the hotel, but you have to pay extra. They do have a very limited business center (just a computer and a printer) and it is in the lobby so no privacy. The bus/train stations are very close. Getting a taxi was no problem. TIP: Bring your own wash clothes and hair conditioner, they don't provide any (maybe it is a German thing).

“Nice hotel - relative close to the "Altstadt"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Nice and clean rooms. Hotel is situated in Town so you have some noise 24h a day. Breakfast room is a little bit small, during peak time it is sometimes hard to find a seat. Buffett is decreasing in size and choice over the last years.

Room Tip: try to get a room to the "Innenhof"

“Top personnel, proffesional and very caring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

The hotel as a building and amenities might not rise to 100% at his 4 stars high, but the positive difference is made by the employees, who know how to solve issues and clear problems so that you really feel a welcomed guest there. Very good service, starting from the reception, restaurant and cleaning. You really feel that they really appreciate you as a person and therefore you wish to come back really soon. This is what makes that small bit of a difference but oh so important to frequent travelers, and this is why I will definitely return here. If this is part of the Lindner hotel policy, part of the training the employees get, then I really want to congratulate them for this, because it really pays off and is appreciated by their guests!

“City Hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

Cofortable but getting dated. Hotel expensive and breakfast 20 Euros each. Not easy to drive to but convenient for the Alt Stadt. Mould around the bathroom taps. Would not stay again.

“Needs renovating”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 May 2011

Overall the hotel is tired and needs refurbishing. For example, there are stains on the carpet and it is evident that furniture is well worn. Staff however are friendly and facilities are kept clean. Room service is also good quality. The gym ought not be advertised as such, however, as there is no cardio equipment available, but only weights. The gym area also needs urgent refurbishing.

13 May 2011
We thank you for your detailed feedback and the time you invested.
It is our pleasure to pass your accolade to our team.
As well, we appreciate your advice concerning our room equipment.
After already adapting several facilities in our hotel (for example new carpets and a change in our general colortheme), refurnish the rooms is meant to be done soon.
Though we indeed will renovate the gym shortly and create a fresh look.
Let us surprise you at your next stay.
Despite the mentioned shortfalls, we hope to welcoming you again one day.
Best regards
