“An awful place to stay...”

1. The localisation of this hotel is bad, especially if you travel by car (no parking facilities, area overcrowded by cars...)
2. The rooms are extremely exiguous, very small with high ceiling: you feel as in an asylum...
3. Rooms are furnished with cheap furniture, bed linen is bad & insuficient (1 pillow for a double bedroom, but no one to ask for it as the hotel has no employee on site...)
4. The service is very rude
5. The single positive aspect of this hotel is its breakfast, a generous & tasty breakfast.

In a few words, that is a place to avoid, except if you consider that a good breakfast makes a good stay...

“Very well cared for hotel”

This hotel is lovely - all of the rooms are decorated differently (I had a sneak peek at some when the cleaner had the door open!). Our room was very calm and 'shabby chic', small bathroom but powerful shower. The breakfast is a good choice of cold fish, meat, cheese, bread, cake, yoghurt etc.

It is a little way out of town - but there is a tram stop 2 minutes walk away which takes 10 minutes into town and runs until 1 am. The hotel provide free transport passes so you can use the bus, tram and train for free - this is brilliant as it encourages you to explore! A taxi is about 6 euro if you miss the last tram. Which you may do as dusseldorf is buzzing at the weekend!

Would highly recommend this hotel if you want peace and quiet but easy access to the main centre. I liked the extra little touches - jars of sweets and snacks left out to help yourself and the artwork all over the hotel.
