I stayed at the Air Hotel Wartburg, and could not be paid to ever return again. My terrible stay started out with the reservation process. The hotel staff is completely unfriendly and is very unaccomodating to any sort of schedule changes. This is suprising given the fact the hotel is located so close to the airport and that they must have travelers with busy schedules quite often stay at their hotel.

When I arrived in at the hotel, I felt like I had arrived at a very run down motel. This hotel competely rips you off during exhibition times. The airport is so close to the hotel that you literally feel like you are on the runway. You will not have to bring an alarm as the planes will wake you up beginning 600.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! Check out other places nearby such as the Avidon. It is miles better!

We have just returned from a stay at Air Hotel Wartburg and as they say on their site it has certainly been a memorable visit, but not in a particularly good way. When the trip was booked the hotel was informed that three of our party were disabled and in wheelchairs. When we arrived they were surprised to see the wheelchairs. The lift was very small and meant we had to put one of our disabled party into the lift, then run up two flights of stairs to meet the lift. The corridor was narrow and it was a little difficult to get them out of the lift. The rooms were not too bad, although there were no tea or coffee facilities, the windows were not sound proof as we could hear every plane that took of from the airport and thundered overhead, starting at about 5.30 each morning. The rooms were stiflingly hot with no airconditioning. We never did find the coffee lounge or bowling. We never ate in the hotel but on one occaision that we needed to, 8.15 in the evening we were told that the cook had gone home. in fact the restaurant was only open between 5pm and 9pm. Breakfast buffett OK but not very exciting. I personally would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends.
