This hotel is a real treat just outside the city center. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is on a quiet street which is closed on one side. You can walk to the city center in about 20-25 minutes but you can get a free day-pass for public transport. The rooms are large and comfortable and come with fast free WiFi. Breakfast is good and served on the top floor (with a view of rooftops). A large garage below the hotel gives save parking (not free)

We spent 15 days at Hotel Lessing in Dusseldorf and enjoyed every single day. This hotel is super clean with lovely oversized rooms that are tastefully decorated. There was even a bathroom scale in the bathroom and makeup mirrors, a loveseat and chair for extra comfort and always free coffee in the room. The breakfast was included and it was way above expectation!! Wow!! We appreciated the complimentary transportation passes for in the city and surrounding areas. This enabled us to visit different sites each day without having to check out of our hotel. Shopping in Duesseldorf is great and convenient when you can jump on the tram just around the corner from the hotel.
Best of all, the staff and management bent over backwards for us and were eager to make sure we didn't miss any interesting spots to visit.. The staff are all happy and love their jobs and it shows. They became like friends to us and we found it hard to say GoodBye. You will not be dissapointed if you stay at this hotel. Getting around is easy. We used trams,trains and buses and it was GREAT! We Miss the staff and mangement !!
