Stayed here several times. We always go for the Christmas Markets in Dortmund. I've tried other hotels but always come back here. It is next to the main rail station yet you hear nothing and with obvious links to everywhere if you want to go to Dusseldorf, Cologne etc. There is easy parking outside for free if you're lucky or in the garage for 6 euros per 24hrs. Ask for a corner room on the higher floors; they are suites with floor to ceiling windows, a little kitchenette area, lounge and nice bathroom; all modern. all clean. Take a 10 minute stroll and you are on the main shopping street and near the new shopping mall (Tear markt?). I paid under 70 euros direct with the hotel for room only which is a great deal. The NH Hotel Dortmund is in very close proximity of the main train station. Luckily i got upgraded from a Standard Room into a Junior Suite. The suite contained a small bedroom where litterly only the bed stood and a large living room with a bar. The two rooms had 70s style decor (incl red floor) however the bath looked newly renovated and nice ( all in White).

While i didn't care that much about the old fashioned design of the room, the main issue was the load speaker from the main train station where you could hear every single train information. Therefore, bring ear pluggs!

A good hotel with no frills in a good central location. Room was a bit bizarre, one double (we had requested twin beds) and a separte loung/kitchen. The TV was in the bedroom. Car park is 6 euros but has a height restriction of 2m.

The hotel is at a very good location, maybe a 100 meters from Dortmund Hauptbahnhof's central entrance. The reception was friendly. The suite was large, with a bar area and a separate and comfortable bedroom.
There was not really much to criticize in the room, maybe a separate tv in the living room area and a water boiler should be installed. The toilet seat was also a little worn, but otherwise everything was perfect.
The breakfast was a four-star standard, it was good, but in Hungary I am used to more generous breakfast selections in four stars.
The only slight negative experience was the slowness of the room service, it took about one and a half hours and an urging phone call to get the ordered pizza.
After all, this is a good and comfortable hotel and I would stay here again.
