This must be one of the best Park Inn hotels in Germany. Its location is ideal for exploring the city and doing the shopping. Getting to/from the airport is easy: bus 440 from the airport to Aplerbeck and then switch to U47 and get off at Stadtpark. From there, it is a 3-minute walk to the hotel.

The check-in was a bit slow, but very friendly. The room was big, clean and had relatively new furniture. Several rooms share big terrace, which may be a nice place to hang out during warm sunny days. On the other hand, if you wish some privacy, make sure to keep curtains closed. The bathroom was clean; however there is no heating from the radiator and instead there are heating lamps (that worked fine).

The breakfast was great and ample, with sekt and an impressive choice of cold cuts, warm dishes, pastry and drink. It was included into the rate we paid, but even if we had not, it would be been worth every cent. There is also room service and mini fitness studio open till 23:00. While it is not big, but has everything for a quick workout.

Overall, a very nice experience.

This hotel is right in the middle of Dortmund, the rooms are clean, beds comfortable. It was difficult to get a parking space close by, but if you bide your time you can get a space closeby. I didnt have breakfast and didnt use the bar or restaurant. It is very close to some good bars and restaurants.

This was a beautiful hotel in an excellent location! My boyfriend was there for work and I was tagging along for vacation. The facilities suited both of our needs perfectly. I could walk to the local shops and restaurants with ease and comfort. It was clean and had very nice furnishings. The staff all were friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Kudos!!

My company booked Park Inn hotel for my business trip to Dortmund on June 2010. Upon arrival we were well received by a professional staff and promptly the check in was done. They have smoking and non smoking rooms and we picked non smoking ones.
The room is fair with most common amenities, air conditioner, LCD TV, mini bar and paid internet wireless service.
The restaurant and bar are very nice including beautiful decoration bringing a very pleasant ambience. The breakfast is awesome and it is included in the price, having so many generous options of fruits, breads, cheese, ham, yogurt, juices and etc.
The hotel is located in the city center and just a walk distance from the main shopping streets. Also there are a lot of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby for providing conveniently any other choice a part from the hotel facilities.
Definitely the Park Inn is a 4 star hotel which I recommend to stay for doing business or leisure travel in Dortmund.
