simply the worst hotel I have ever seen!!
they charge you like a 4* Hotel, and it`s even bad for a Hostel. I went with 2 other friends and we reserved a room for 3 people. we payed and got the key, and we just find 2 tiny beds!! and not enought space to fit another bed!!
we complain at the reception, and when we got the extra bed, the door was not able to be really opened... how do they give a room in this conditions??
the room was quite simple, without bathroom inside, the pillows are misserable, we didnt got extra towels, and everything was not that clean.
the common bathroom are in the corridor, and we hadnt cold wather!!! so it was impossible to take a shower on our floor. We needed to go to other floors to the simpliest thing like taking a shower... there were also not enought wather, so it can happen to find the toilets really nasty!!
it is not a good place to have rest, cos the whole night are cars and peolpe going on the street and the walls are too small, so you can listen everything the other guests are doing.
the "breakfast" its just a normal one, and the thing is that they dont really have enought tables, so if you are not of those 2 people arriving on time, you would need to eat standing, or take your food to your room, where of course, any table is waiting for you.
the only good thing is the location, but for that price you can get a decent hotel a little bit far from the train station, but com`on in köln the public transportation is very good, so, do not hessitate to go to other place, instead of stay in this hell`s hole!!!

This was one of the most unpleaseant experiences I had in a hotel in my life. I booked the hotel through booking.com as it was the only available hotel in Cologne due to a fair. They charged me 245 euro for the first night for a room that had no shower or toilet, had to use one in the corridor. The room was unclean and the hotel staff most unhelpful.
I had booked 3 nights but had to leave early due to business reasons, but the person at reception was not helpful at all, simply looked at me and blew cigarette smoke in my face when I asked for a refund for the 2 nights I didn't stay. So in the end I paid 425 euro for a horrible room without shower or toilet, and a bad breakfast with smelly ham. Avoid at all costs!

My online booking didn't inform the rooms didn't have private bathroom, bathrooms only at the end of corridor.
Plain and poor quality rooms.
Hotel needs refurbishing urgently!
Only positive thing: Location!

This hotel is located right near the Koln Cathedral. The heart of the city is on the door step.

The staff are friendly and offer help with all sorts of questions you may have.

The rooms are plain but comfortable. Toilets and showers are down the hall but are clean and in good order.

The breakfast is to die for. Continental breakfast like only the Germans can do. Eat up big and enjoy the city. For that matter just keep eating because the city is awash with fine places to enjoy a meal.
