Nice friendly hotel, very welcoming and clean. Be sure to mention that you want no smoking when booking - sadly we didn't but the staff went out of their way to accomodate us. This hotel therefore gets top rating for being able to resolve issues. /

If you are intending to visit the Christmas markets, then this is in an ideal location with one Christmas market at the end of the street and most of the others within easy walking distance.

Also handily located for the Neumarkt shopping area.

A great hotel in a fine city.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the city of Koln. The receptionist we met upon checking in was exceptionally nice and helpful, going out of his way to help us sort out a couple of hiccups with the TV programming (we wanted to watch the World Cup match in our rooms). Breakfast spead is lovely as well. The only thing is the lack of air-conditioning, but it was made up for when the receptionist provided us with a portable fan. Not quite the same, but better than nothing!

Location isn't too bad, there are loads of pubs and restaurants abound so good food and a fun night out definitely isn't something to worry about. Takes around 25 minutes to walk to the main Koln Cathedral and main train station.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights for business. The location is good it is just 2 minutes from S-Bahn Freisenplatz, or 20 minutes to Dom by foot. It is a lot of shops and restaurants in the surrounding areas. The service was good. Breakfast is ok, but nothing special. The main problem of the hotel during hot summer days - there is no A/C in the rooms and itis really hot. Also it is a problem with noise coming from the street. WI-FI cost 5euro per day, or you can use computer in the lobby for free.

This was my second stay here. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood full of funky shops and restaurants. Lots of opportunities for people watching.
The staff is professional. The rooms are large and clean and the breakfast buffet amazing.
Definitely a value at the price.
