We visited for the Christmas markets. The hotel is very close to a motorway junction and has free parking. It is a 5 minute walk to a tram stop. Trams are quite frequent (hotel will provide timetable) and it is E2.50 for the 20 minute ride to the city centre. Make sure you have coins - the ticket machines on trams don't take notes. (Traffic in the city was very congested)
As well as the convenient position it is an excellent hotel. Large spacious room with en suite, clean, comfortable. Amazing breakfast, which was part of the package we had booked (E109 per night for 3 adults)(told breakfast is pricey if paid for seperately).Staff a little indifferent at times. Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities and free wi-fi but they were not on offer.
Hotel faces a retail park - incluing a Lidl and a very good supermarket - Edeka. Excellent for drink, snacks etc.
Overall a very convenient, but 'standard' business chain hotel.

We stopped at the hotel as part of package coach break to the German Christmas Markets for 3 nights.
Room was a standard double on the 5th floor. It was clean and nice. Towels provided by the hotel were ok. Heating in the room was abit unpredictable, which wasn't good when it was -1 outside. Beds were two single beds together, but were clean and comfortable. Only one pillow each though.
Buffett breakfast was nice and good selection. Evening meals were ok, sometimes just seem to be bits and pieces thrown together. Desserts were poor though, always different coloured fromage.
Prices of drinks were expensive and seemed to differ from staff to staff, which was abit confusing.
Tram station was close by, as were shops to get food if u require (McDonald's / KFC / Lidil)
Overall nice clean hotel and would stop again.

I stayed here for two nights in December 2012 on business. I arrived on Sunday evening and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who spoke perfect English, which was good as my German is very rusty. My room was a standard double on the 4th floor with a full bathroom (bath with shower over) - I'm used to shower-only bathrooms when staying in Germany. The room was clean, tidy, modern, warm and well lit, with a minibar and safe built in. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep on both nights. My deal was room only, so breakfast was at an additional charge of €17/day, which I think is a bit steep - even if it was all you can eat buffet. There were breads, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruit, cereals and an array of cooked offerings (sausage, meatballs, bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs) - something for everyone but you would really HAVE to pile your plate high to get value for €17!
On checkout, I was offered the option to pay my bill in Pounds Sterling, thus avoiding my banks own conversion charges, which was nice.

The location was great for a quick getaway on the Autobahn, but a little far outside the city. That being said, it was very easy to get the train in to the centre of Cologne, and took about 40 minutes. The hotel was pleasant and the rooms were good- the staff were very helpful.
