I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of December for the cologne Christmas markets. The hotel itself was very clean and I can not complain about our room which was spotless and very spacious, however the other couple we travelled with had dirty sheets and a half full mini bar! When we went to complain everything was dealt with very swiftly - no complaints with the staff at all!!

Location - about a 10-15min walk to the city centre, perfect for us :)

Extras - by this I mean meals/ drinks etc - all of this is very very expensive (a round of 4 drinks was about €35 - I almost fell over!!!)

One very nice touch was that on 1st dec I found an advent calendar on the bed when we got back from our day out!! :)

A spacious and modern hotel, across the river from the centre of Cologne but excellent tram service right outside the hotel. Food was very good and the staff were friendly and efficient. We would certainly stay there again.

Just back from Cologne, after staying here for 2 nights. We went to see Andre Rieu at the Lanxess Arena and wanted a hotel close to the Arena. The Dorint didn't disappoint, as the Arena is just a 10 minute walk away.
We arrived at 11am and although the hotel states that check-in is 3pm, this was not a problem. We were greeted by a pretty and friendly receptionist and like all the hotel staff there, she spoke English very well. We mentioned that we were early and she said it was not a problem, as a room was ready for us and they would not leave us out in the cold. That was nice. We were told about the restaurants and where breakfast would be, so very friendly and very helpful.
Our room was on the 4th floor and when we entered, we were pleased with the room. Not a big room but quite adequate for the 2 of us. Very clean a nicely stocked mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. Nice bathroom and again, very adequate for us. We had 2 single beds pushed together and have to say, they were really comfortable, as were the very soft pillows too. There are internet facilities in the room but we didn't use or need those.
We were there on New Year's eve and didn't expect to be able to get into one of the restaurants but again, the receptionist was helpful and reserved a table for us in the 'Bux' restaurant. On arrival there at 7pm, we were asked to wait another 20 minutes but the waiter/barman was just so friendly and nice, we really didn't mind. The food was professionally cooked and very nice. We did have to wait a little while for it, as we found the service was not that quick but we weren't in a hurry and everyone was so friendly, it was not a problem at all. We went back to the same restaurant on our 2nd night and although different staff, again they really were so nice and very friendly.
There are a lot of facilities in the hotel but we were only there 2 nights and really went just for the Andre Rieu concert and so didn't have a chance to check everything out.
There are instructions on the website on how to get to the hotel by train from Cologne/Bonn airport. We decided to give it a try and it was very easy. The hotel is just a short walk, about 10 minutes, from Köln Messe/Deutz station and we also returned to the airport by that method.
Very happy with our short stay and wished it had been longer, due to the very polite and friendly hotel staff and we would be more than happy to stay here gain.

we booked this four night stay with a booking agent, on arrival we were told we would have to have a smoking room after having a moan we were upgraded to a business room, very big room two singles and an nesspreso machine. Spa area is fab nice wirlpool sauans and swiming pool too. The breakfast is the best I have ever had in a german hotel. Train station is a five min walk away and a tram stop just outside the hotel. Hotel carpark is arip off at 20 euros a day if you park around the side of the messe 4 euros and we had no probs at all. Bar service is very poor, rude, slow and they could not care if you had a drink or not. Overall fab hotel and we will stay there again.
