Good clean hotel with plenty of choice at breakfast. Cereals, fresh fruit, various breads. Cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon as well as cooked items - scrambled egg, bacon,sausage, meatballs.
Supermarket almost next door open from 7.00 to 22.00 Monday to Saturday. Short walk to tram stop - number 3 line takes you into Cologne. You can buy the ticket on the tram but need coins. 2.5 Euros for 1 trip or a day ticket is about 7 Euros. If you are travelling as a couple or family (up to 5 people) the 1 day group ticket is VERY good value at just over 10Euros. The transport system is integrated so you can use the same ticket on the Suburban Train (line 6 or 11), Tram (line 3) and bus. The train station is a little further down Waldecker Strasse but is only 2 stops and you get off right next to the Cathedral.
We had our evening meal in Cologne centre, transport is so easy to use, but there are options near the hotel although the hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast.

The Hotel was very difficult to acces from Koln airport.
I stayed ther for 10 days paying upto Euro 660 per day during Anuga exhibition, paid for breakfast but there was almost nothing freshly made veg food.
All 10 days the break fast was 100% same, no changes at all.
The hotel is not a safe and there is no security.
Rooms were good.
No one in surrounding new the where abouts or address of the hotel,

good breakfast spread, nice clean rooms, only parking is charged, nearby eateries are good, city centre is close, very very convinient, saturday;s there is a weekly bazaar outside the hotel on the walkway, autobahn is close

As all others, I also ask my self: 4 stars???
I was traveling as a couple, also with my mother and young brother, both seriously allergic, asking for a no smoking room before arrival and paying an outrages price because all the hotels were booked.

Upon arrival the receptionist gave as smoking rooms, and screamed at me asking us to shut up, since she wanted to tell us her important excuse for their incompetence. Do I need to say more?
I've never being in such an outrages situation in over 120 hotels I've stayed in my life. That's why I give the first terrible review at TA.

In the end there were no smoking rooms, they just wanted to get us stressed.

Worst staff I've ever seen, worst rooms (pictures here were taking by an excellent photographer because rooms don't look like this), old old old fashion rooms and amenities, and 2 stars for this hotel would be more then enough.

Never staying in this hotel again, or any other of the same chain.
