This hotel is located a few minutes walk from the Cologne Hauptbahnof and is just around the corner from the Marriott. The quality of the breakfast took me by surprise. There were many options, cereals, fruit, eggs, cheeses, meats, fruit juices and the presentation of the food was really outstanding. The breakfast room was bright and the decor and furniture was new.I doubt the breakfast experience would be any better in the Marriott. Yes the rooms are slightly on the small side, but provide everything you need. Very clean linen, hot water, comfy bed, and once again the bedroom and bathroom furniture was obviously fairly new. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel does have a good sytem for looking after your luggage if you need to leave it there before checking in, or after checking out. I did read about the comment on noisy traffic, but I found my room to be very quiet. This hotel is a good choice if you are on business or a short city break.
