I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during my business visit. The most convenient thing with this hotel is its location, just opposite the main train station. The lobby is small, the staff is coordial. The room which I stayed was nice, the window gave full view of the tall beautiful cathedral in front. The breakfast had enough choices. Lockrooms are also awailable in reception for managing some time between checkout and departure.

This hotel was another pleasant surprise on my recent trip to Europe for the Christmas Markets. Since I was travelling extensively by train, I booked hotels near the train station. As I walked out the door of the Cologne rail station, it was facing me. Due to the great price, my expectations were for an average room. However, when I opened the door, I was surprised as the room was very pleasant and perfect for a two night stay. The staff was friendly, and breakfast (included in the rate) was plentiful and very good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone not looking for a Marriott or Hilton. The location could not be better as I could be at the Cathedral in minutes, and then on the main shopping street. I walked everywhere.

Good location especially if you need to be close to the station. A short walk through the station takes you to the Dom and on to the main shopping area.
The room (a single) was clean, in quite a modern style and I didn't hear much noise from outside or other rooms. Nice hot shower and the hotel provided shower gel, body lotion, a nail file and sewing kit! Breakfast was served from 6am to 10am a great selection of cereal, fruit, bread, spreads, fruit juice, coffee and tea. There are also hot food options, but I was pretty full on just the continental. The breakfast room has quite a pleasant outlook too.
Reception staff were professional, polite and helpful, treating my attempts at German with good humour.
If I go back to Cologne I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed there 1 night during our 3 week Europe honeymoon. Not our planned hotel, but since our train was delayed and there is no connection to Braubach (our original hotel), we just walked up to the front desk and asked for a room.

Paid 99 Euros (total, including breakfast and tax). Room is basic, beds are ok, a bit hard compared to our previous 4 star hotels, but I had no trouble falling asleep. More like a "motel" in the US standard. With the windows closed, it is quite. Otherwise, you will hear road noise (no big deal for me).

In a nutshell, not a bad place to stay at all.
