We stayed three nights at Hotel Domspatz and liked this hotel a lot. It was extremly comfortable and the room was very large, very clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I am very disappointed with the poor customer service I received at the Domspatz Hotel and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was very rude, unfriendly, and arrogant, and they even forced us to check out earlier than the posted check-out time that had been advertised on their website -- and they didn't even care that we were inconvenienced! I have traveled all over the world and have stayed in some excellent hotels, and this is the absolute worst that I have ever been treated. When you're traveling and tired, you expect to be greeted by a friendly hotel staff, not a rude and snobish staff like this! While I recommend visiting this charming city, I do not recommend this hotel. Fortunately, there are many other wonderful hotels with competent and friendly staff in the surrounding area within an easy 1-2 minute walk.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The hotel staff is very unprofessional and rude. They weren't even able to give us valid directions to the hotel by car. I do not recommend staying here. I am a military officer and I stayed here with my girlfriend and her father who is a university professor. We all were upset with the way they conducted themselves and their poor attitude. Additionally, their advertised check out time was not what was posted on their website.

The Hotel Domspatz was good!We stayed 2 nights in May and it was good. The rooms were nice and clean, the whole hotel has a nice charme.The good thing is, that it is only a minute away from the cathedral and the main station. Even the Rhine river and the old town are only a short walk. The hotel is located in a less busy side street and during the night there was mostly no traffic. You mostly don't hear any traffic as they have good windows. The surrounding area is nice.The guy at the reservation even looked up for us some train connections where we wanted to go, which I really appreciated. We could have connected our own laptop in our room if we wanted to and if we owned one :-)The continental breakfast was good and fresh. You could take as much as you wanted to.There's someone at the reservation until 11pm. After that you get in with the room key which also opens the front door.Their website is: hotel-domspatz The Maredo restaurant (they have Argentinian steaks and the regularly served meals) right across the street has a great salad bar! I got the tip from the hotel guy and we enjoyed a great salad there.
