This hotel is average in every way. Nothing is wrong - but it won't leave any impression on you because it is pretty charmless. Stayed here for the convenience of being able to get a morning flight from airport. A shuttle bus will take you to the airport which is about 3 minutes away.
Room was ok - average size. Shame there was no water in the room - and the internet is expensive to buy. You would think that in this day and age that hotels would not charge for use of internet. After all this is not a really cheap hotel.
The staff were also pretty average. They looked bored - which isn't surprising if you think your view is of a road and an airport...but they really did not give a warm welcome. My colleague's internet was not working in her room and they were quite dismissive until they realised that there was a technical problem and she wasn't making it up. We asked for a recommendation for a restaurant in Koln that night - but they said they didn't know. Also beware that in their wisdom the good councillors of Cologne add a 6 euro (think that is what it was) cultural tax payment for you on your hotel bill. What culture did I get next to the airport I really can't say.What a rip off.
Plus points - breakfast looked ok and staff in restaurant seemed quite warm. Shuttle bus took us on time to catch plane.
If you have a choice - I would choose somewhere else.
