A one night stop on a Leger Trip. Their publicity spells it Hotel Gorres so a bit difficult to identify. The Hotel has been family owned for a century and is excellent value for money with good food and service. Rooms vary in size, ours was spacious, with all new furniture & adequate storage. We had to get extra pillows because theirs were fluffy but useless for the purposes of supporting ones tired old neck.
They have skittle alleys and a nice beer garden where the goldfish are prolific with some the size of Jaws. The village is small but pretty. The Parish Church (opposite) houses the most beautiful family graves which are clearly tended by people who know their flower arrangements. You can also spot the grave of Heinrich Bartels - a hard drinking WW2 fighter ace & Holder of The Knights Cross.
The Hotel is south of Bonn near Bad Godesberg in the village of Wachtberg-Villip
