“Decent hotel, served it's purpose...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2010

as a convenient hotel between Dusseldorf and the Mosel River valley. Arrived at 1130 and even though the hotel was empty we were unable to check in until 1330. Aware that an early check- in cannnot be guaranteed, it would have been nice to shower, change and rest from our long flight and drive from DUS. Anyway, the hotel is in a non descript area outside of town but easy access to the motorway. Unable to find a decent place to eat, a Burger King is near for those with kids, we located a great supermarket 10 minutes from the hotel where we purchased great local meats, cheeses and wines for our daily picnics. The staff spoke English, and were helpful and effecient, the room was basic but clean and comfortable. The reception area is located in a strange spot, best to drive to the front door, unload your bags then park the car, if you have issues with alot of luggage. Like I stated the hotel was perfect for our needs, close to our touring, clean, quiet, comfortable bed and great price on the ACCOR website. There was free-internet in the lobby (their computer), which was helpful.

“A smoking room for you, sir?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2010

When arriving at the hotel, I had to wonder a bit on how to find a parking space close to the hotel entrance. I did not manage to find one, so I ended up carrying my luggage from the parking garage to the hotel. In the garage there were notes encouraging not to leave anything valuable into the car.

At the reception, I was first offered a smoking room. When asking for a non-smoking room, I was offered a room without a bath tub. Well, I did not mind the lack of the tub when the alternative would have been a room with the aroma of cigarrette smoke.

Room interior was quite basic, but spacious. Bed comfort was mediocre, but OK for a one night stay. The locking system on the doors was based on the old-style non-reprogrammable punch-hole plastic key cards, which too demonstrates that the hotel could benefit from a bit of modernization.

Overall, the hotel could be more modern, but weighed against the room rate it is quite reasonable.

“Great 4 night stay if you are going to use a car and travel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

The space for this hotel is amazing.

The room had a large bed and a sofa, desk and walking space.

As we were here for 4 nights it was good to be able to spread out.

It is a 15-20 min drive to town I guess, but if you are a tourist you would probably only go into Bonn once anyway. If you are coming to Bonn specifically you may like to get a bit closer to town.

We booked on a half price special and got $36.50 euro a night which was tremendous. A full buffet breakfast was $15 euro per person.

We ate at the restaurant two nights, the menu was limited as it has holiday season, but the let us join a buffett dinner for a bus trip once night which was ok for the price.

It has reasonable parking and good access to the autobahn system.

Wifi was charged but lobby pc was free. We were two couples travelling so we used the same logon for wifi, had three devices all working well at once which was a bonus.

“An okay hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2010

Stayed hre for a few days whilst visiting my daughter who was studying in Bonn. The location is away from the centre, although it is possible to take a bus into the city. The rooms are dated, but the breakfast area was fine as was the food. I would recommend this hotle if you can get a good rate and dont mind being away from the centre.
