The hotel is quite hard to find if you travel by train arriving at the nearest station of wattenschied - it is a good 25 minute walk. However there are taxis outside the station that could take you there and for later on during your stay there is a tram line near the hotel less than a 5 minute walk.
The reception area is clean and well decorated with a good bar and a very social atmosphere. The rooms are more than adequate for a few nights sleep and the best shower in a hotel I have ever used, the carpets could do with a clean as a little stained but couldnt really find anything to complain about. The staff were very professional and couldnt do enough to help - even ordering us a take away.
Please bear in mind there is nothing near this hotel, Bochum is about 25 mins on the tram one way and Gelsenkirchen 25 mins in the other direction. The last trams are at 11pm.
The breakfast was good as well for 13euros you could eat as much as you like and it was very good quality, though they do not bring any more food out about half an hour before breakfast closes.
To conclude this was a very good hotel for the money paid through expedia I couldnt find fault with it at all. Also a great base for the Veltins Arena as trams go direct there which was the purpose of our stay.
