While the hotel was clean and the staff was nice, the room walls are paper thin. I heard everything from preparing for a banquet from people going up and down the stairs and elevator the entire night. If you really wish to relax while staying in Bielefeld, I'd pick a different hotel.

The hotel has a great feel about it, with lots of wood panelling and details. Rooms were simple but comfortable. During our stay, we mainly used the conference facilities and the outdoors patio at lunchtimes and we found both elements to be excellent. It’s worth mentioning also that the staff and the manager couldn’t do enough to help us make it a very enjoyable stay. The location, situated just outside Bielefeld was fine for our needs, may not be ideal for all but it only requires a brief 15 minute taxi ride into town.

Location is good - jut off the autobahn – though access was confusing because of roadworks that appeared to close off the approach road. Parking is good and there is lots of it.

My room was OK – and spotless. Even had tea / coffee making facilities which is almost unheard of in a German hotel. No iron or trouser press though so doesn’t count as a business hotel in my book. Opening the window at night – it was a very stuffy room under the eves – proved far too noisy so I had to put up with the strange “fan-like” device on the wall adjacent to the window. So altogether a noisy room and I had a disturbed night. Bathroom was good and so was the shower. Internet facilities were not free and I logged on using Boingo quite easily.

Evening meal was poor by any standard – staff friendly and efficient though. The “pud” my colleague had was supposed to be a crème brûlée – it was a rather unpleasant crème caramel. The staff offered to replace it and not charge for it – and offer a free coffee - but when the bill came it was all charged for. We did not bother to query – not worth the effort.

I would stay there again as its convenient, but would not eat there and would ensure that I had a quiet and better ventilated room.
