We visited Aachen and stayed 3 nights at this apartment. This is a good base to take day trips to Maastricht and Zaandam, The Netherland.
We checked in at Best Western Hotel Regence, the Reception staff were friendly and nice. We had a fast check in; the apartment is located on Alexander Strasse, the street at the back of the hotel. This apartment has a covered garage on the ground floor which is secured and with a parking fee of Euro 8.50 per night. You need to reserve a space if you wish to use this garage. They also have washing machine and dryer on the ground floor.
It has a lift, which is very convenient. Inside the apartment there is a small kitchen area with a sink, electric kettle, stove, and microwave. It has dinnerware and tableware for 2 persons. They have also provided dishwashing liquid, sponge and kitchen towels. We chose not to include breakfast, so we bought fresh pastries and bread in the morning and had coffee in our room. Although they have an electric kettle in the room, they have not provided coffee nor tea; so be sure to bring your own. No proper table to eat on so we used the desk where they have the TV.
It has a ceiling fan which we appreciated coz it was a little warm the time we were there. The bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep.
We ate at Edo Japanese Restaurant at the Best Western Hotel Regence; we had a delicious dinner and enjoyed the chef’s presentation.
This place is an easy 10-minute walk to the cathedral and the city center. There is a bakery and a small supermarket located on Peterstrasse near the hotel.
We chose this apartment for its privacy, location and the small kitchen provided. This place is excellent for extended stays.
We had a wonderful stay at this apartment and we would definitely stay again on our next visit to Aachen.
