My husband and I spent a night at the Niederlandischer Hof on a recent trip to northeastern Germany. It was one of the loveliest hotels we have been to. The staff was friendly and the room was beautiful- especially the large marble bathroom. We asked for and received a room with a lake view (otherwise you look at the back parking lot). For a room with a king bed we paid 112 Euros per night- a much better price than other very nice hotels we stayed at in the region and we enjoyed this hotel more. The hotel has a nice study to relax in and a restaurant (although we chose to eat in town for our one night there). While not located in the heart of the old city it is within very easy walking distance to everything a tourist would want to see in Schwerin.
